1. The essentials
- โPick a name โ check it's not already taken locally, and grab a matching email.
- โDecide your structure (sole proprietor, LLC, etc.) โ check your state's small-business site.
- โLook into any local permits or licenses your trade requires in Wisconsin or Minnesota.
- โOpen a separate account so business and personal money never mix.
2. Price it right
- โAdd up your true costs per sale (materials, time, fees) โ then add profit on top.
- โCheck what local competitors charge on their Everything Local storefronts.
- โDon't compete on being cheapest. Compete on trust, quality, and being local.
3. Set up your storefront
Everything Local is your website, booking system, and CRM in one โ no separate site needed.
- โCreate your free vendor account and claim your business page.
- โAdd your logo, a clear description, and your service area (up to 10 towns).
- โList your products or services with photos and honest pricing.
4. Before you open
- โTurn on the contact/estimate button so leads reach you instantly.
- โAsk 2โ3 early customers for a review to build trust from day one.
- โShare your storefront link and referral link with your network.
